Join LEGO’s Digital Play Discovery team at a hugely exciting time, using your in-depth knowledge of digital play to discover incredible new experiences that surprise and delight.

• Drive the discovery process, from observation and ideation, through prototyping, testing and back through the iteration loop to apply your findings.
• Rapidly assemble prototypes to test the concepts and find the fun quickly, whether for digital platforms, custom electronics or physical installations.
• Run tests with kids and families to challenge the team’s ideas and rapidly learn and iterate.
• Keep your finger on the pulse and your eyes open for how to apply new technologies, platforms, mechanics or interactions to new play experiences.
• Work closely with various partners to ensure we deliver new play experiences that are not only original and deeply fun, but also feasible and deliver on business objectives.
• Establish and refine processes for the discovery of new play experiences to help us become even more effective as a team.
• Coach other team members and support them in their Play Discovery journeys.
• Champion the Digital Play Discovery capability, sharing opportunities and knowledge and empowering your colleagues to explore and prototype their ideas.

Innovation spans broadly from new play experiences, new business models, new go-to-market strategies as well as strategic portfolio innovation in relation to our core propositions. Propositions that ultimately can transform the play industry.
Working in a small cross-functional team with a start-up feel, you will be helping to invent the future of LEGO® play and regularly link the broader team of creative designers/developers across our global network. You will collaborate with your design team as well as marketing and research to ideate, craft, test, and shape ideas into future LEGO experiences.
• Launched 3+ play-centric products in the toy, games, entertainment design or related industries.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of what it takes to create compelling play experiences
• Strong prototyping skills for screen-based experiences and interactive toys (ideally both)
• Strong software development experience – comfortable jumping into and working with large, complex codebases.
• Broad familiarity with the landscape of tools used to create interactive experiences, from sound design and 3d modelling to server tech and mobile development.
• Ability and passion for rapidly learning new skills, tools and technologies.
• Experience with agile methodology, experimentation and rapid iteration.
• Not afraid to fail and comfortable moving on when an idea doesn’t work out.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and confident speaking the language of collaborators from related fields.
• Excellent communication skills and partner management experience.
• Enjoy tackling open ended problems with a focus on discovery and exploration.
• Experience coaching and mentoring team members.
• Proficiency in English, written and oral, is required.
• Willing to travel up to 15+ days per year up (internationally).
