The Digital Marketing Specialist provides overall project management for key Mercury digital marketing programs.  In addition, this role is accountable for process definition and improvements related to website development and content production.  The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various digital projects including site launches, online tools, web applications, and content updates.

The role reports to the Digital Experience Manager.  Success in this role requires an ability to manage external development partners, prioritize requests, continually improve processes, and collaborate across functions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and create content calendars, work with multiple departments to create, edit and share content on consumer websites

  • Communicate progress, facilitate identification of risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions as necessary to increase probability of successful delivery
  • Gather requirements for digital projects from stakeholders
  • Develop and execute website strategies to engage Mercury’s target audiences
  • Maintain the Mercury Marine and Quicksilver websites to provide up-to-date product content and promotional content to our consumers
  • Partner with social media team to create supporting website content based on their content calendar
  • Become an expert in the operation of the various content management systems
  • Work with the Category and Creative teams to gather product content information and imagery for product updates and new product launches.
  • Become an expert in the operation of the various Mercury content management systems
  • Contribute to the evolution of digital marketing capabilities for Mercury Marine and Brunswick, utilizing inspiration, a spirit of collaboration, and subject matter expertise
  • Communicate with and assist our regional marketing teams to execute new product launches, content updates and other website needs.

Required Skills:

  • Creative, decisive, responsive, able to work independently and take responsibility for decisions and outcomes.  Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answers.
  • Experience with content management systems and HTML/CSS
  • Experience in collaboratively managing resources (agencies, freelancers, consultants, developers).
  • Cross-functional collaboration and ability to motivate performance through influence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 3 or more years of professional experience.
