About the opportunity

Reporting into the Director of Lean, this role is a key part of a recently established Lean Thinking team which is focused on developing and deploying an approach for organisational excellence across ASOS and its partners. This approach focuses on growing value against our purpose and mission through more effective use of our current capabilities and driving out wasteful activity.

Working in conjunction with our Automation and Data Strategies, this role will identify opportunities to use digital technology to remove and reduce waste within our existing Lean framework. Additionally this role will bring digital skills to how we create & develop an effective ASOS wide Lean system for transformation and knowledge transfer.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of establishing best practice and inspiring others across ASOS, applying Lean and Digital Thinking to drive our Lean Strategy and ASOS Mission.

Key responsibilities of the Digital Learning Partner - Lean:

  • Development of our ASOS Lean Hub & e-learning – including developing content and application for example how we use augmented/virtual reality options, to ensure the learning experience is current & reflective of business needs

  • Development of digital lean governance – platform for all our tracking & governance internally & externally with 3PLs

  • Lead on the development of Digital Lean journey – understanding where digital solutions can be applied alongside lean tools to drive more intelligent decisions around digitisation (i.e. process improvement first, automate second)

  • Maximise digital and technological advancements to deliver engaging development programmes and supporting ASOS in taking a digital approach that is best in class.  

  • Provide direction and advice to the ASOS Leaders on strategic, tactical, and operational issues related to all aspects of the relationship between digital technology to Lean Thinking 

  • Work as part of project teams and groups to establish appropriate solutions, manage the development and delivery of new digital projects and project manage third-party developers as and when required. 

  • Lead on digital learning projects in a robust and efficient manner, ensuring all are delivered on time and within budget - to the agreed quality standards and specifications. 

  • Stay informed on any new trends in approaches, technology, and tools, you’ll ensure we deliver innovative solutions to our ASOSers. 

  • Execute vendor selection and performance processes where required, and proactively manage or oversee relationships with preferred partners to optimise ROI. 

  • Work with the Digital Learning Partner to ensure the digital learning experience at ASOS through user experience testing to get to the heart of how learners want to interact with digital learning and incorporating this into digital learning product design.  

Experience

  • Extensive experience within digital solutions with knowledge of enterprise systems design/architecture and a passion for applying digital solutions to process improvement

  • Prior experience of administering and maintaining Rise360/articulate

  • Experience of digital learning content creation tools and excellent writing/editing skills. 

  • An appreciation for machine learning, AI, data analytics and automation.

  • You will have a working knowledge of Lean Thinking

  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and management with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines. 

  • Ability to think and act strategically, analyse complex evidence and develop practical and innovative solutions to the management of strategic issues and complex problems.
