Job Description

Digital Content is required by many internal teams within Mars (Brand, dCom, Shopper, Sales, Media), distributed across multiple consumer touchpoints (social media, websites, dCom, OLV, digital partnership, OOH) and created both in-house (by The Hive) and externally (by agencies BBDO, DDB, T&P, MAX, PR and influencers).   On top of this, the US is the global center of content creation for many key brands (M&M’S, SNICKERS and SKITTLES).

Given the complexities of digital content needs, distribution and creation, this role will be the conduit across all digital content briefs, creation, consumer touchpoints and content organization to ensure content & planning consistencies across teams and production efficiencies. 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required (MBA in marketing preferred)
  • •            3-5 years experience in relevant marketing role where technical creative execution and social media or dCom application was a key part of the role.

    •            Experience in digital brand building capability within an organization including evaluating creative and driving holistic content plans across multiple client and agency stakeholders. 

    •            Ability to set and achieve goals and manage multiple projects, timelines and priorities.  Able to deliver results under pressure and under tight deadlines in an occasionally non-traditional work schedule

    •            Ability to create strong relationships across internal departments & external agency partners

    •            Able to leverage insights to write strategic creative concepts that translate brand objectives into strong digitally optimized content.

    •            Truly passionate about social media and digital content , with an existing social presence and fiercely passionate about all things pop culture

    •            Real fan of the Mars Wrigley Confectionery brands, with a strong desire to translate that passion on social and become the brand’s fiercest evangelist and advocate.

    •            Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Work in collaboration with brand teams, seasonal, dCom, IAT, social media and shopper teams to build fully integrated digital content plans across all consumer touchpoints (OLV, social, dCom, shopper, websites and digital partnership). 
  • Be the key point of contact on IAT meetings and major paid activations, ensuring B&C/Hive content is optimized holistically across all digital consumer touchpoints, but also representing dCom, Social and Shopper in IAT projects. 
  • B&C project manage lead for all paid social and digital partnership activations across IAT and in-house led creative (such as :06 social OLVs, Twitch partnerships, Influencer activations on TikTok)
  • Lead global digital tool kits and coordination with creative agencies for B&C content on US lead brands (MMS/SNK/SKT) such as globalization of M&M’S Screentime assets
  • Respond to paid digital only briefs that come into the US Content Team from brand marketing and ensure larger IAT activations come to life organically on our social channels (in partnership with the Social Media Strategists). 
  • Provide bigger picture guidance and brand support to Social Media Strategists and Community Managers to ensure social content is laddering up brand voice & objectives.
  • Be the digital brand guardian for MW who know the brands inside out and how to engage their audiences online whilst adhering to the required guidelines, regulation and ways of working (including but not limited to health and wellness, marketing code etc).  Bring that expertise into dCom & Shopper briefings.
