Manager, Decision Science Products - Advertising / Digital Products - Disney Decision Science and Integration
The Decision Science Product team leverages technology, data analytics, optimization, statistical and econometric modeling to identify opportunities to inform business decisions and drive value for our internal business partners. The team works to understand our partners’ business problems, workflows, technical systems, and data to deliver products ranging from straight-forward analytics insights to complex, fully-integrated analytics solutions.
The Decision Science Product team resides within the Disney Decision Science + Integration (DDSI) organization. DDSI provides internal consulting services for clients across The Walt Disney Company. The DDSI team sits at the intersection of business strategy, advanced analytics, and technology integration to help our partners explore opportunities for analytics, shape business decisions, and drive value. Our work includes conceptualizing new solutions, solution design and development, implementation and integration with business processes, and ongoing business support.
The successful candidate will be data-driven and business-minded, and will be passionate about solving business questions through data analysis. In this position, you will transform data into meaningful business insights. The role will include working with analytically minded peers, where you are expected to contribute to and challenge the current knowledgebase. You will lead improvements of existing solutions or development of new solutions by scoping, implementing, and testing these solutions in order to address business problems. You should enjoy connecting with clients to brainstorm ways to better support business decisions, being a thought leader in analytical settings, building data visualization dashboards, and managing and improving software systems.

Responsibilities:
Your Role:
- Define the product vison, strategy, and roadmap for Disney’s proprietary multi-media inventory forecasting and pricing software products within the broader Disney Advertising Platforms strategic convergence strategy with Linear and Digital properties.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and organize requirements and KPI’s into a clear, concise, and actionable product backlog that delivers prioritized incremental business value throughout its lifecycle.
- Partner with peer Product Managers, Architecture, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Program Management to identify, evaluate, and integrate 1st and 3rd party strategic technical solutions.
- Manage direct reports and provide mentorship to a team of professional staff specializing in different technical disciplines.
- Provide product oversight to ensure consistent product experience of user controls, data definitions, business logic, and product aesthetics.
- Evaluate and recommend product innovations and enhancements that drive business value and maximize the ROI for the product(s) you manage.
- Responsible for coordinating User Acceptance Testing, and defining and executing product release strategies with end users, technology leads, and fellow product managers.
- Enumerate and identify clear business KPIs, for setting annualized objectives and partnering with GTM and Financial Planning teams to meet the business and product goals.
Basic Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in creating products to serve digital, TV and cross platform advertising marketplace.
- Strong knowledge of advanced advertising products and services including TV, digital, mobile and video.
- Strong knowledge of the evolving US advertising ecosystem including economics of TV, ad tech, and data providers.
- Has a good understanding of media advertising business and is comfortable with media research, measurement methods, and terminology.
- Has ability to prioritize and organize product requirements effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and passionate about answering questions with data.
- Effectively communicates complex information with both internal and external contacts at a variety of organizational levels.
- Maintains a deep empathy for business users, and wants to creatively solve problems with a user-first mentality
- Be flexible, adaptable and a team-player first
- Experience shipping multiple products in an agile software development environment
- Proven understanding of systems architecture, design, and implementation
Preferred Qualifications:
How To Stand Out:
- In depth knowledge of media ad sales (especially digital), media research, revenue management, and/or strategic pricing
- Experience with data-driven advanced advertising providers is a plus (Nielsen, Comscore, OpenAP, other 3rd party data or solution providers)
- Strong understanding of advanced analytical methods
- Experience with leading or developing custom applications, science-based tools, and/or similar technologies
- Proven ability to present to senior level executives and influence organizational change
- Experience in coding/querying languages such as Python, SQL, or similar
- Masters Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
