The Delivery Excellence Services (DES) group in the Complex Delivery organization within Industry Solutions organization carries a vision to Equip, Enable and Support world class services delivery across the lifecycle for Microsoft customers, with an aspiration to be the Trusted advisors to Industry Solutions Leadership across Domains and Areas for enabling Delivery Quality & Maturity.
This position is for a Service Engineer 2 in DES, responsible for managing programs in the One Commercial Azure Governance (OCAG) functions within DES. One Commercial Azure Governance (OCAG) intends to reduce the level of Enterprise Risk across the company, ensuring continuous security compliance in internal subscriptions used across Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS). OCAG provides secure, standardized, managed environments and infrastructure services for delivery engagements across customer and internal projects, as well is responsible to provision and manage Azure subscriptions (25,000+) across MCAPS catering to a wide range of subscription needs, in alignment and adherence to org-wide secure controls and practices.
Responsibilities
Role & Responsibilities: -
- As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible to manage a range of Infrastructure Services and manage the demo environments that are consumed for end-to-end Azure scenario demonstrations.
- Lead and continuously improve, enhance and adopt/build newer features/services/practices into the portfolio/catalog of services
- Drive continuous automation to supported portfolio of services
- Implement and adhere to recommended engineering practices in building high quality solution
- Run the portfolio of services in adherence to information security guidelines and practices, and in compliance to ISO standards
- Keep a good balance between tactical and strategic work, ensuring necessary maintenance / operational activities for the supported services
- Lead/participate in the delivery of complex infrastructure solutions through envisioning, technical design, development and implementation
- Keep up to date in understanding and applying industry trends, PG practices, tools and solutions
- Actively collaborate with Stakeholders and Internal Business units to understand the requirements and deliver efficiently.
- Accountable to Services Request / Incident management, consistently adhering to SLAs and ensuring high Service Availability
- Deliver Features & Capabilities required by business, on time with expected quality
- Ensure value proposition and business impact for every product/project/service is documented and measurable
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the domains on the supported services, enabling governance processes and dashboards
- Ensure proactive customer/user communication, interaction and resolution
- Drive customer obsession through high satisfaction and experience and in ensuring customer feedback is captured and actioned upon by partnering with program managers and other stakeholders.
- Gather and evangelize customer success stories
- Must be able to adjust to constant business change; common types of changes include new requirements, evolving priorities, and emerging practices.
- Responsible for self-development on latest trends/developments in the related role/work profile according to professional development plan.
- Actively participate in technical communities, team events with a positive influence, present at internal / external conferences

Qualifications
- Hands-on experience on Azure Services and Cloud-based technologies
- Hands on experience on Azure Policy & Management Group.
- Hands on experiences on Infrastructure as a Code and knowledge on PowerShell, ARM templates, Azure Biceps, Azure CLI based deployment scripts
- Hands on experience on Azure Update Management
- Must have a proven record of delivering solutions in a datacenter environment
- Hands on experience on Hyper-V, SCVMM, SCOM and System Center.
- Must have a proven record and skills in managing server hardware, SANs and networking equipment.
- Hands on experience and success in architecting and designing solutions
- Must have a proven record of managing and executing work through large vendor teams and outsourced partners
- Is experienced on ITSM (Service and Incident Management)
- Understanding of ISO requirements and documentations preferred
- Ability to understand and analyze issues independently and use judgment to make decisions to run services optimally and/or restore services quickly in the event of a failure
- Ability to read, interpret and/or develop technical specifications, diagrams and infrastructure blueprint
- Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology
- Ability to lead and drive large scale change within an organization
- Experience in effective global communication skills, impact and influence across a diverse set of stakeholders
- ITIL and Data Centre certification is a plus
