As a DevOps Engineer, you will drive the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of the AWS infrastructure and related CI/CD Pipelines throughout the Cox Automotive Canada businesses.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Engage with Production Engineering in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the AWS infrastructure
Improve the predictability and reliability of software releases with the implementation of automated build, test and deployment tools and processes
Reduce application deployment windows by leading company towards a Continuous Delivery environment by following DevOps practices
Engage with Software Engineering to improve application security and reliability by implementing various CI tasks such as SAAST, DAST, SonarQube etc.
Engage with Architect Teams to align on AWS Well-Architected framework during the design phase to deliver high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructure for various applications and workloads
Engage with Software Engineering to implement and standardize the automated version control using semantic-version
Participate on-call rotation to provide 24×7 support to our mission critical applications.
Produce, update and endorse documentation, standards, guidelines and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or in place of degree, 5-7 years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer
Strong experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl scripting language to automate operational tasks
Strong experience with .NET/.NET Core software builds and release tools using Docker, GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy
Experience with Linux Server administration
Experience with IaC using AWS Cloud formation or Terraform
Experience with Infrastructure monitoring tools like Splunk, New Relic, Nagios etc.
Experience with GitHub Enterprise (GitHub Actions, Webhooks, branches etc)
Experience with Windows Server Administration (IIS/AD/DNS/MSSQL/OracleRDS)
Networking Knowledge, VPC, NAT, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Experience with Artifactory and NuGet package management
Experience with application Server platforms (.Net, IIS, ASP.NET)
Experience with application versioning following semantic release
Experience with agile development, scrum, continuous integration and delivery
Excellent written communication, problem solving, and process management skills
