We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and passionate Development Chef for our client based in NW1, London.

Working for a leading contract caterer, food is the focus of this role.

As the Development Chef, you will support the business and the Operations Director in the development of culinary initiatives in order to grow the business. You will be involved in training, new mobilisations and openings as well as be an inspiration to your colleagues and teams.

With a passion and a natural enthusiasm for food, you will continuously update your knowledge on food trends, concepts and produce with the aim of working with the best, locally sourced ingredients possible.

As a leader, you will also understand that your team is essential so be able to communicate well and open to their ideas and work as part of a team.

Our ideal candidate would

-Be an existing Development Chef, Exec Chef or Head Chef with progressive work history

-Have a desire and natural curiosity to keep learning and exploring new and upcoming food trends and ingredients

-Be financially aware and able to work to budget, manage costs as well as financial targets

-Be naturally creative and innovative

-Negotiate and build relationships with suppliers

-Hold NVQ3/BTEC/City & Guilds/HND/Degree or equivalent and have Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above

-Be flexible and willing with a positive can do attitude
