The Group Design Studio is a global Centre of Excellence providing Group and local markets with strategic design guidance, with a vision to “design digital experiences our customers loveâ€. The team collaborates with product, marketing, technology and design to increase value to both our customers and our business.
The Digital Project Manager’s role within the Design Studio team is to define and understand project requirements, develop project plans and deliver against them. They are accountable for the success or failure of the project, managing needs and expectations of stakeholders and also motivating / encouraging the team to delivering against the project plan.
This role will work collaboratively with other teams in Design Studio including research and service design, UX, UI, as well as external teams including product, propositions and technology to manage design work streams (including estimating resources, time and materials to define and complete their work).
You Will:
• Develop and manage the direction of the project, defining and managing scope, managing time and costs, quality, resource allocation and project planning as well as change control.
• Effectively communicate to both internal and external project stakeholders where appropriate whilst also monitoring and reporting on issues and risks as projects progress.
• Carry out detailed Project planning of tasks, activities and timings.
• Manage / Oversee deliverables such as prototypes, sitemaps, wireframes, visual interfaces, usability reports & recommendations, and any other creative output
• Develop cost to complete forecasts and risk registers
We would like you to have:
• Strong grasp of User Centred Design (UCD), Agile and digital delivery methodologies, and understanding of when to engage design team members, product leads, technology and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to facilitate and lead discussions
• Strong experience in similar project management roles
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in of planning and delivery of projects, often ambiguous situations
• Can constructively challenge and question proposed requirements and approaches to deliver optimal customer experiences
You Must Have:
• Significant experience (5+ years) as a project manager on eCommerce projects.
• Strong appreciation of Digital, Product, UX, UI, Research and Service Design disciplines
• Exceptional communication skills in verbal, written and formal presentation formats
• Understanding of the design process or experience in interaction design
