EQUANS are looking for a Design Manager (Engineer) to join our team in the North East on a permanent basis. This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, Bonus and benefits package.
Reporting to NE Engineering the main purpose of the role is to identify, analyse and mitigate Civils related risks affecting Engineering works at Pre-Construction Stage through to the prior delivery of all Construction projects.
A specialism in Civil Engineering and an understanding of the bidding process and the key deliverables throughout this process will be of advantage along with knowledge of the relevant building regulations/legislations.
In addition to the above you will be responsible for overseeing the Environmental compliance strategies to promote sustainable development, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy.
Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:
• Pre-Site visit and produce Engineering overview of the site.
• Provide provisional assessment of abnormal design requirements.
• Provide input into feasibility layout designs for access, highways, drainage and SUDs.
• Procure Site Investigation Information review and interoperate.
• Supervise site and ground investigations
• Manage external consultants to compile Drainage Strategies & Retaining Structures to allow competitive pricing to be sourced.
• Manage Engineering Pre-Com information inc. Tender Reviews, GI/SI procurement and completion, Soil Management solutions, Cut and Fill, Remediation Strategies, Drainage and Infrastructure and Site Constraints.
