We are looking for an experienced Deputy Health and Safety Officer working within Northwood Headquarters (NWDHQ). This is a key position to support the NWDHQ SHEF (Safety Health Environmental & Fire) Officer in all aspects of HS&EP matters within the establishment. The successful candidate should preferably have experience in working with the Armed Forces and have some practical knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental Protection and Fire.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Act as the NWDHQ Deputy SHEF Officer and assist the NWDHQ SHEF Officer in all aspects of HS&EP matters within Northwood HQ.
Liaison with all HQ Departments and Lodger Units in collating HS&EP Assurances.
Collate Sustainability information in liaison with NWD PFI partners and support Environmental initiatives on site
Assist in coordinating regular assurances checks and conduct internal HS&EP audits including Risk & DSE Workplace Assessments.
Compile HSEP Assurance Returns.
Maintain and update HSEP information to H&S notice boards and NWDHQ HSEP Share Points & Web pages
To undertake any additional tasks as required by SHEF Officer Northwood Headquarters.
