Be responsible for:
Developing and implementing policies and procedures in accordance with external guidance, identifying areas of non-compliance and escalating risks to the Head of DPCT accordingly.
Assessment of business as usual data processing practices currently in place both at a national and CPS Area level to meet the specific requirements of data protection legislation.
Advising the CPS on a range of data protection issues, making appropriate recommendations and representing the CPS at cross-government meetings.
Work with other government departments and external contractors to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for high profile projects.
Being a primary contact point for discussion with the Information Commissioners Office regarding potential areas of non-compliance.
