Come and join the fun as a long-term Demand Planner for a set of LEGO Themes and one Business Unit of the Western Europe region!
In this role, you'll be working in a matrix organisation as part of the Western Europe Long Term Demand Planning Team to own the long-term forecast (5+ month horizon) for both sell-in and consumer sales.
• Deliver a monthly demand plan for up to a 20-month horizon build upon a statistical forecast
• Ensure demand plans accurately reflect known marketing activities, product launch timings and promotional activities for the long-term horizon
• Provide input on potential sales for new products to Regional Marketing colleagues
• Engage with the BU in the deployment of the business strategy and ensure that local market level assumptions are captured and effectively communicated
• Ensure that consistent assumptions are applied across the full horizon and handle the transition period between the short term and long-term demand planning horizons
• Inform General Managers of the most likely outcome for their business and highlight potentials gaps to target through your demand plans and consequently play a key role throughout the S&OP process
• Ensure that Regional Marketing and Customer Development strategies are effectively communicated to the BU teams and will be aware of key market level activities that impact your forecasting horizon
The role supports the broader organisation to evaluate the volume and value (revenue and profit) of the existing plans, enabling senior management to identify gaps and take corrective action. The output of their work will also be used by the supply chain to ensure the right level of capacity and investment is applied for both the short and long term horizons.
The demand planner role is “multilingual†as it is used to inform the supply chain (volume) and the commercial planning processes (value)!
• Experience of working within a consumer goods environment
• Understanding of statistics and experience of statistical model forecasting
• Ability to master complexity and to communicate in a way that makes the complex simple
• Ability to influence senior colleagues
• An understanding of integrated business planning and sales and operations planning
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
