Position Summary:
The Demand Planning role is at the core of Infineum's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and is an exciting and truly cross-functional opportunity to make a discernible impact.
As a member of the Global Demand and Supply Planning Team, the Demand Planner has a key responsibility for the development of accurate consensus demand forecasts which are used to guide critical Infineum activities such as procurement, supply planning, component manufacturing, and inventory management all to reliably supply Infineum's customers.
The Demand Planner is the primary communication link between Sales and the Global Supply Planning Team.
The Demand Planner works closely with Sales colleagues to understand Infineum customer's additive requirements and using historical data, statistical tools and market intelligence translates them into a Consensus Demand plan for the Infineum Lubes business in Latin America and North America.
Due to the significant level of responsibility, high degree of independence and ample decision-making scope, this role is normally recommended to experienced colleagues looking for further opportunities to stretch themselves and refine their networking, influencing and leadership skills.
Key Outputs:
What we can expect from you
• Lead comprehensive, efficient, and timely two-way exchange of key product supply and demand information between Global Supply Planning and the Sales organization.
• Lead demand plan accuracy improvements working closely with the Sales organization and with reduced reliance on manual intervention.
• Develop and maintain a high level of competence with the APO-DP demand forecast tool and new generation planning tools, especially the statistical modelling capabilities.
• Suggest and maintain demand scenario criteria
• Lead the monthly demand forecast creation cycle from creation of an unbiased initial statistical forecast through delivery of a consensus demand forecast that includes adjustments for known marketplace or customer events.
• Participate in the Sales and Operations Execution team monitoring short-term demand deviations
• Analyse, report, and continuously improve demand plan accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain planning tool data and tool infrastructure to support the demand forecast cycle and reporting requirements. Examples include adjusting sales history and validating forecast models.
• Lead or support responses to ad hoc supply issues. Examples include product rollovers, order monitoring/management, and product decommercialization.
• Any additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Digital skills when using S&OP Dashboard via Power BI platform and incoming End to End Digital Planning tool
• Preparation for future leadership challenges, thanks to the high degree of independence and ample decision-making scope
A successful candidate is likely to have:
• Education to a degree level or above required, master's in engineering or chemistry strongly preferred
• Multiyear experience in Supply or Technology strongly preferred
• Advanced computer skills to navigate easily around forecasting/planning system (currently APO DP – will transition to the new Advanced Planning System tool in the course of 2022)
• Strong data-driven decision maker, that is comfortable distilling key insights from large data sets
• Effective influencer that can navigate different functional agendas and priorities
• Strong leader that takes ownership over final demand plan
• Solid presentation skills to convey compelling messages and insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
