Demand Planner & Analyst

Remote Position (preferably Pacific US Time Zone)

The Demand Planner & Analyst, Mars Premium Brands supports the business and supply sides of the business in building and managing the demand forecasts (short term and long term), facilitating the S&OP process, and managing inventory movement in the co-manufacturing process. The role is responsible for delivering forecast accuracy and inventory goals for the Demand channels, including owned Retail stores, direct-to-consumer digital commerce and third-party retail sales, through detailed sales, on-hand, and trend analysis. Additionally, this role partners with the Demand and Supply sides in the operational management of the S&OP process including Step 1 projections and Step 2 forecasts and insights.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with discipline in analytics, planning, supply chain management/operations/finance/engineering/mathematics
  • Strong computer skills (Tableau, Power BI, Excel modelling, Power Point presentations) & ability to understand and adapt to in-house finance/forecast systems
  • Demand planning/Supply planning/purchasing experience using an ERP system, preferably SAP
  • Excellent analytical skills (mathematical aptitude and information filtering)

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Leadership of the Unit’s demand plan and setting the strategic direction for the demand planning agenda, adopting a continuous improvement mindset on forecasting practices and processes.
  • Lead and facilitate the S&OP step 2 process for all sales channels driving accountability within the Mars Premium Brands demand team and driving quality decision making within each periodic review.  Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, proactively identifying areas of improvement whilst keeping focus on execution excellence.
  • Responsible for building analytical dashboard tools and performing custom analyses of sales, inventory, margin, turn and other metrics for channel owners. Provides reporting and inputs to guide channel decisions and makes recommendations.
  • Accountable for managing an efficient and accurate co-manufacturing process by forecasting sales of co-manufactured items, planning, executing, and reporting inventory levels and movements to and from the co-manufacturing facility.
