Position Summary

Our Deloitte studio teams are part of a full-service interactive marketing and advertising agency. We are seeking UI Designers to join our collection of artists, analysts, strategists, engineers, writers, makers, business-builders, designers, doers, and dreamers, who are all united by a belief in the power of creativity to Elevate the Human Experience. Each incoming UI Designer Studio Associate is provided with a range of project opportunities to develop their skills and interests while also building a strong foundation as future leader at Deloitte.  We are looking for people who share our passion for translating ideas into relevant and innovative products to solve business problems.  

Work You’ll Do

The UI Designer Studio Associate is responsible for working in partnership with the broader product team (including business owners, product management, business architecture, engineering, and designers) to solve complex user experience problems and articulate clear design requirements in a human-centered framework: 

• Bring strategic thinking and a strong desire to build the next generation of digital products
• Design beautifully polished work that showcases our clients brand and product experiences through visual comps, flows and prototypes
• Design and build out design component libraries from concept and manage throughout the lifecycle of the design project
• Work closely with client design teams to define and design new products, platforms and design systems
• Work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams of analysts, product managers, project managers, engineers, researchers and fellow designers to discover and understand business, features, and user requirements that translate into thoughtful design executions
• Present your creative work and expertly articulate your design process directly to the client, with oversight from design leadership
• Support in the creation and facilitation of creative workshops for our clients
• Bring a powerful enthusiasm for design, people and conversation

UI Designer Studio Associate

What You Bring

Your online portfolio:

• Showcases your experience, storytelling and design presentation skills
• Showcases your projects with a breadth of diverse projects and challenges
• Focuses on your guiding experience design process, principles and techniques

Ability to:

• Approach design challenges with and open mind and ability to navigate difficult working relationships
• Organize and self-direct to get things done
• Communicate your ideas in an efficient, persuasive manner
• Work independently and in groups as needed
• Experiment with emerging technology / design trends, tools and methods
• A consistent passion for learning and pursuing your craft 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points:

• Qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
• Experience with conversational UI
• Experience in augmented, virtual or mixed reality
• Motion design and animation
• Participation in the wider design community and connections with creative organizations such as UXPA, Creative Mornings, etc.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree completed by August 2022 with focus in these related areas of study: HCI, User Experience Design, Computer Science or a design-focused qualification
• Strong academic track record (preferred GPA of 3.5)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Ability to travel up to 30% (while 30% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
