Department: Supply Chain

Level: Guide

Reports to: Head of Delivery Solutions

Location:  Barnsley

THE ROLE

The Delivery Solutions Manager plays a key role within the Supply Chain.  This is an exciting and challenging role. We require someone who has experience in the carrier industry and is abreast of all carrier and industry related innovation. You will need to understand supply chain operations, carrier management processes and how to operate commercially. The main element of this role will be to run business as usual activity for the Delivery Solutions team running operations from our largest global Fulfilment Centre.

THE TEAM

Delivery Solutions are responsible for parcel carriers at ASOS, making sure our customers get their parcel on time, can return it if they like, and defining and delivering our industry leading customer proposition.  We’re an award winning team, with representatives at all of ASOS international locations. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Forecasting and carrier planning
  • Carrier management
  • Delivery proposition enhancements
  • Project manage new service implementations working with Delivery Solutions management team
  • Look to achieve faster and wider choice of deliveries for our customers
  • Own the Delivery Solutions operational requirements from our FCs
  • Financial Management & Budgeting
  • Contract Schedule Maintenance
  • Peak and Holiday Planning

We’d love to meet, someone with…

Experience:

  • Experience of carrier operations or working in the carrier market, whether in the UK or internationally
  • Managing carrier commercials
  • Managing a supply chain budget
  • Retail experience (desirable)
  • Creation and presentation of financial business cases
  • Experience of presenting to board level

Skills:

  • Commercially aware/astute
  • Innovative and customer focused
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Team player
  • Project Management skills (desirable)
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
