Job Description
As a Lead Database Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in database design and architecture by leading development efforts for large IT systems database solutions. You’ll initially work on projects for physical modeling and database support in Microsoft Parallel Data Warehouse (PDW). You’ll offer SQL Server support by adding space and deleting databases. You’ll troubleshoot, consult and assist customers with PDW/ SQL questions and physical modeling. You’ll also work with Microsoft support to troubleshoot PDW issues. Future projects may include Cloud database support and working with new database technologies. This position will require some on-call support.
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering) and a minimum six years of related work experience with database application development, database administration, and/or operating system administration with RDBMS.
- Instead of degree, a minimum of eight years related work experience with database application development, database administration, and/or operating system administration with RDBMS may be accepted.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Windows clustering and troubleshooting O/S
- Hands-on experience with Transactional SQL
- Understanding and working experience with Large databases
- Data Warehousing experience
- Experiencing with the following tools or techniques are nice to have: MPP/PDW, cluster column store, SQL Server, Snowflake and Neo4j
Compensation
- $97,900 - $126.700/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
