Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated data scientist with a can-do attitude. As our data scientist, you will identify business opportunities and predict future trends. You will uncover unexpected insights which will help the LEGO Group reach more children. You will support the BI leaders in Western Europe and help them drive the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop analytical method and ML models for predictive analysis.

• Run correlation analysis to determine the leading indicators.

• Create value from internal and external data sources, better estimating the sales and the shopper behaviors.

• Act as a team player and support your colleagues with data visualization (Power BI) and engineering tasks.

• Understand the business needs and constantly seek for growth opportunities.

• Develop the team competencies on data science techniques, building cases from analysis.

Play your role in our team succeeding

As a Data Scientist, you will be part of the Western Europe BI and Analytics (BI&A) team composed of BI leaders and BI professionals across the Western Europe countries. The WE BI&A mission is 2-fold : (i) to report and analyze the company performance and (ii) accelerating the growth through a deep shopper understanding, an ability to predict the future and to influence business decisions.

Do you have what it takes?

You graduated from a bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics Economics or in relation with Business Operation. You have a relevant experience of 3-5 years working as a data scientist in a company handling manufacturing and sales. You are curious, self-driven and love experimenting new solutions. In addition, you have:

• Expertise in R/Python including libraries like Pandas, Numpy, Scikit Learn, TensorFlow.

• Expertise in data visualization tool.

• Knowledge of NLP, SAS

• Strong business understanding.

• Strong collaboration skills and proficiency to work in English.

• Experience in similar analytical roles within the Retail industry.
