The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Work on the strategic data analysis, data modelling activities for the Inquiry Framework Exit application.
• Strong experience of designing conceptual, logical & physical data models and generating initial Data Definition Language.
• Design/implement data objects using Data Warehousing methodologies on Big Data platform using data modelling tools.
• Work closely with users/ business analysts to design the data flow and characteristics and ensure there is proper data flow/ data mapping documentation established.
• Ability to analyse database design requests and creating databases according to client needs.
• Align to database programming standards and best practices.
• Ability to monitor/tune database performance identifying potential issues/opportunities for improvement and outline recommendations to improve performance.
• Identify re-usable database components and provide design recommendations.
• Proactively work with the development teams to ensure there is adherence to the database standards.
• Proactively conduct design review sessions and conduct walkthrough sessions of the data flow/ mapping documents with the project teams to ensure there is clear understanding of the application data flow and other data characteristics.
• Well-versed with different SDLC methodologies like Waterfall and Agile.
• Compliance with Citi's System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirements.
• Managing time and changing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Ability to provide quick turnaround to data issues and management requests
• Ability to assimilate key issues and concepts and come up to speed quickly

Qualifications:

• 6 to 8 years of data modelling experience using ERWIN/ IBM InfoSphere Data Architect Data Modeling Tool.
• Experience in data analysis and documentation.
• Strong experience in writing queries in traditional databases as well as in Big Data platforms using SQL and Hive.
• Strong experience in working closely with users, change managers, project manager, architect and developers to translate the business requirements into functional requirements and create solution (data mapping)
• Experience working on AML domain projects and involvement in data modelling activities. Prior experience on building solutions & reusable components on Big Data platforms.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong experience in data modelling
• Should have done data Modelling for couple of Banking programs.
• Should have hands on experience on any of the modelling tools like ERWIN, etc.,
• Strong experience in data analysis using Hive and SQL
• Strong experience in AML Domain

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
