You will be joining a newly established Data Governance and Data Management team based in the UK working within Capita Group Finance. The team is responsible for establishing and implementing Data Governance principles and tools as well as proactively improving data quality for the benefit of Capita’s core processes and systems. Capita’s main ERP system is SAP ECC with a planned future upgrade to S/4HANA and SAP MDG. This role is critical in liaising with the Finance GPO’s and IT functional consultants to ensure the relevant process area is fit for purpose from a data and process perspective.

What you’ll be doing:
Supporting the definition and implementation of Data Governance Operating Models and Data Quality frameworks
Design, implement and manage Data quality standards to support standardised meanings, correct use and understanding of data
Demonstrate a detailed understanding of at least one or more of the following process areas (P2P, O2C, R2R) and have a detailed knowledge of the relevant data needed to run them
Use tools such as SAP Information Steward and SAP Data Services to extract and profile data. For the purpose of building data quality scorecards to proactively manage and report the company’s data health against agreed business rules
Work with the business stakeholders and designated Data Owners and Data Stewards to deliver data quality improvement plans, setting out clear expectations and roles and responsibilities
Support the business as usual Data Centre of Excellence in Mumbai in the delivery of right first-time data maintenance activities, ensuring processes documentation is relevant and accurate and resources are trained correctly in data best practices
What we’re looking for:
Experience with working in SAP ECC or S/4HANA in a data related field with knowledge of SAP tables and data structures
Experience of analysing, cleansing, improving, transforming master and transactional data
Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Detailed knowledge of at least one the following processes in SAP – P2P/O2C/R2R from both an end to end user perspective and SAP data and process perspective
Previous experience of working in major projects in the delivery of new or changes to process including changing or adding new data requirements
Previous experience of building business validation rules
