Job Purpose and Impact

The Data Architect  - HR Governance will lead the development of the data strategy to make HR data more accessible, understandable and usable by multiple stakeholders across the organization. In this role, you will execute the strategy which includes transforming, improving, integrating and visualizing large complex data based on business requirements. You will develop standards for database design and implementation of various strategic data architecture initiatives around data management, data quality, and data governance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop the strategy to make HR data accessible for the company taking into account database design and structure, data integrity, privacy, and access while meeting the business needs.
  • Lead teams through data extraction, collection, cleansing and preparation for consumption and respond to complex data requests.
  • Drive automated reporting and analytics architecture through the use of available technology, analyzing data to produce dashboards, metrics or insights and identify trends or anomalies, training others how to design and run visualization tool interfaces to effectively communicate to internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Partner and consult with global IT teams to ensure we gather, centralize and use the most valuable data for analysis in a systematic, repeatable and accurate manner and ensure timely and accurate data models that provide management information and analyze performance.
  • Identify and communicate data impacts through analysis, providing transparency, interpretations and solutions to leaders.
  • Collaborate with project teams of data scientists, data engineers, software engineers and business subject matter specialists to ensure timely delivery of data  efforts within budget, making staffing recommendation proposals as needed
  • Gather external data, insights and best practices, connecting with internal stakeholders to share external best practices to improve internal practices, build business efficiencies and address gaps in capabilities.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
  • Provide leadership both directly and indirectly to data analysts, engineers, and operational data staff while coaching, mentoring and managing performance. Partner with data management teams in the areas of access, master data management, and quality to ensure comprehensive solutions.  Integrate centralized Data Function practices and HR practices with strong partnership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with data management activities
  • Proficiency with data modeling and design concepts
  • Proficiency with data access and security design
  • Proficiency with database management, including Big Data
  • Proficiency with integrations and API management
  • Experience using data visualization applications to develop and deploy insights and reporting
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience in data management, data modeling, data access etc. as noted above

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or doctorate degree in data science, computer science, mathematics or engineering
  • Privacy by Design Experience
  • HR Data Experience
  • Aptitude within a material master data domain
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working with data and data warehousing systems
