As a Senior Business Analytics Specialist, you will contribute to continuing the team’s progress toward being a recognized hub for forward thinking in the field of Data Engineering and Advanced Analytics. The team consists of experts in data analysis, data engineering, advanced analytics, and data visualization. We are looking for a talented and motivated professional who can drive data architecture and delivery excellence across the Modern Analytics & Insights platforms that provides advanced analytics, data access and data visualization solutions to solve a wide variety of business problems and drive data driven insights and decisions. Responsibilities

•    Lead and manage the following key areas of the organization’s analytics platform:
o    Data governance program; ensure that delivery is compliant with corporate policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices for data usage and security.
o    Operational monitoring to insure efficient and timely delivery of data tools, visualizations and analytical models.
o    Daily operational activities, including incident management, root-cause analysis, and resolution management.
o    User and systemic (e.g., service accounts, certificates, etc.) access controls.
o    Release management, with robust automated testing that allows for continuous integration and delivery.
o    Service health, SLA adherence, and continuous improvements in operational processes and tooling.
o    Innovation of the platform using new capabilities to manage, monitor and secure the platform.
o    Mentor and technically nurture team members
•    Play a key role in the development of the analytic platforms’ vision, roadmap, and technical capability development in support of key business objectives and capabilities that includes:
o    Data acquisition from a wide variety of data sources.
o    Data ingestion and cleansing to ensure fit for use.
o    Data aggregation to support numerous reporting and analytical solutions.
o    Data validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
o    Solution monitoring for reliable and fault tolerant data systems
•    Serve as the primary operational member of virtual feature teams that included solution architects, data analysts, data engineers, software engineers and data scientists in the development of new platform features and business capabilities on the analytics platform.

Qualifications

•    10+ years of experience architecting, designing, and operating large scale big data services.
•    5+ year experience with Azure big data capabilities (e.g., ADLS, HDInsights, Databricks, Synapse (Azure Data Warehouse) or equivalent
•    5+ years development experience on large-scale data solutions including databases using IaaS SQL, SQL Instances, Azure SQL, No-SQL (e.g., CosmosDB, Casandra, Mongo, etc.) and data ingestion and processing using cloud services (e.g., Data Factory, Event Hub, Batch, etc.).
•    Experience with analytical/visualization tool like Azure Analysis Services and Power BI DAX.
•    Hands-on experience with complex SQL queries, Kusto and Python for data manipulation. 
•    Modern DevOps practices using git and CI/CD pipelines.
•    Experience with Infrastructure as Code using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, or Terraforms.
•    Extensive project management experience
•    Experience working in a fast-paced/competitive environment and have a deep desire to work.

•    Long term strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skill
•    Experience leading and managing virtual teams of data operations engineers.

The candidate must also have:
•    Graduate (Masters) degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related discipline is preferable, but a candidate with an undergraduate degree combined with strong analytical background in problems relating to cloud data platforms and data analytics solutions is also acceptable.  
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•    Ability to synthesize complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts.
•    An attention to detail with self-discipline and a drive for results.
•    Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries.
