About the role

Reporting to the Head of Network Insight and Analytics this role is to lead the team of data scientists, data engineers and analysts responsible for delivery of to develop models supporting network planning, operations, optimisation with aim to bring efficiencies

Define data analytics and engineering strategies, exploring new data sources, develop pipelines and enable data drive insight and automations.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading data science engineers to design and implement AI/ML models with focus on network planning, operations, maintenance and to improve customer experience
• Develop Data pipelines using Python, Apache Spark, SQL
• Develop web applications (Django)
• Visualisation and analysis leadership (Tableau)
• Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement to drive data analytics role within the business
• Cross functional leadership defining the strategy for evolving the Big Data capability, including solution architectural decisions aligned with the platform architecture.  Ensuring data structure, data cleanings and data integrity
• Be SME for Analytics Programme, providing technical and resource assessment for constraints and dependencies; highlight potential risks and offer alternative solutions
• Designing and producing high performing stable end-to-end applications to perform complex processing of batch and streaming massive volumes of data in a Big data platform, both Hadoop on-premises and in the cloud, and output insights back to Network domains according to their requirements.
• Managing individual objectives for the team including training and development

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

• Proven xperience of leadership experience over data science and analysts ideally in a Mobile communication sector.
• Strong understanding of mobile technologies and related architecture
• Experience in Big Data technologies (e.g like Hadoop, Spark, Hive), data modelling and ETL development.
• Experience with stream-processing systems, such as Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, NiFi/StreamSets, or Storm/Heron.
• Data pipeline development (Python, Apache Spark, SQL)
• API Development (including Flask and Django)
• Relational databases (Hive, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Lite)
• NoSQL Databases (MongoDB)
• Web application development (Django)
• Data visualization & analysis (Tableau, Qlikview)
• Machine Learning Model Development (SKLearn)
• Deep learning model development (Keras)
• Linux
• Hadoop
• Agile Development: certified scrum master and certified business analyst
• Strong Data visualisation skills, preferably Tableau
• Credible and effective communicator and influencer, able to work with stakeholder to agree, prioritise and drive forward a wide range of requirements.
