The Data Analyst role will be responsible for leading variety of complex initiatives by offering vision to achieve strategic goals. as part of the Information Management team enabling BI, Reporting and Analytics across Cox Communications. This key function is part of the Data Support Systems within the Technology organization. This role enables and delivers on program initiatives, projects and operations across.
The position requires a self-driven technically competent individual to provide guidance and deliver information management deliverables to include metadata, data quality, data management and governance.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Lead estimates and execution of Information Architecture, Metadata, Data Quality, Data Management and Data Governance deliverables in projects/programs.
Build and publish data into knowledge management repositories (Metadata Repository, Master Data, Data Quality profiles, etc.).
Execute data analysis including data mapping and profiling using standard query tools
Support and enable new platforms use to include Metadata, Data Quality and Master Data.
Coordinate with data SMEs/stewards to validate use, compliance, and value of core data.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
3-5+ years of work experience in conjunction with bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated experience in data requirements/design, data flow and data architecture.
Demonstrated experience in project delivery – execution of data driven deliverables.
Demonstrated experience with data platforms: ODS, DW/Mart & Big Data and Cloud.
2+ years of experience in creating requirement based on architecture and design.
2+ years of experience in PL/SQL, MS Excel Skills including Data Analysis & Mapping.
2+ years of experience in configuring, developing and solutions deployments.
Analytical and Communication skills
Planning and Coordination skills
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, MIS or similar.
Informatica based products of IDQ, EDC/Axon, ETL and MDM
Data governance or Regulatory implementation experience
