Job Description

AWS Support ACES is seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst. In this role, you will support the ACES teams efforts to drive a continuous improvement roadmap through data analyses and communicate the findings to user teams. An ideal analyst is one who enjoys discovering and solving complicated problems, can quickly learn complex systems, likes to work with numbers, and takes pride in organizing and communicating their work.
Organizational skills demonstrated ability to work independently to make complex investigations, has self-discipline, is diligent and can manage time appropriately.
Communication skills ability to communicate (written and spoken) in English. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and evaluate recurring and ad hoc reporting to monitor Business KPIs
• Partner with ACES to consult, provide solutions to implement KPI’s and recommend data-related improvements
• Create visualizations, dashboards and reports
• Ability to pull data, analyze and turn it into actionable insight
• Deep dive into data to support resolution of key business issues
• Document processes & regularly update existing SOP’s
• Support daily, weekly and monthly business reporting


Six Sigma Black Belt certification. In lieu of Black Belt certification, Green Belt certified with 4 years of experience with data analytics

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Engineering/Math/Statistics/Science
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in process improvement, DMAIC and/or process redesign
• Expertise working with Tableau/QuickSight or other visualization platforms
• Proficient in R/SQL or any other query language (or Programming language)
• Experience with statistical software like Minitab
• Analytical skills – ability to ask the right questions, analyze data, and bias for action, Creative problem solving with a passion for operational excellence
• Be well-versed with statistical concepts, with ability to operate across the entire analytics value chain
• Demonstrated experience managing complex analyses from requirements definition through delivery of solution, including communication of status and results
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Proficiency in the use of digital tools for project management (Advanced Excel including VBA macros, SharePoint, Visio, etc.)

• Ability to multitask and prioritize issues with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Quick learner with strong attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
• Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
