Capita’s Novus Programme’s bridges the gap between academia and employment, equipping graduate consultants with the right combination of skills and commercial experience. Once trained in-house these trainees progress to become consultants who are placed on one or more client assignments

We have anew opportunity for a Data and Analytics Trainer to join the Novus team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start from the ground up, in the design, development and deployment of a data training workstream. The Data and Analytics trainer will create and deliver a programme of courses/workshops within the skills discipline of Data and Analytics. The aim is to develop/influence leaners professionally and technically, for entry into data and analytical roles. You will also be expected to deliver the training virtually to aspiring talent and teach them all they need to know to land their first job within the profession of data.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and delivery of engaging virtual, face to face and classroom-based group knowledge sessions
  • Being the subject specialist in Data and analytics
  • Working collaboratively with learners and employers
  • To teach candidates from a technical background, in the fundamentals of Data and Analytics:
  • Data modelling and design. Data visualisation. Data engineering. Data Science
  • Database design and administration
  • Business intelligence and reporting
  • Machine learning
  • Big data
  • Cloud computing
  • Exposure to the following languages and tools would be beneficial, such as: SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Pandas, Object-Oriented, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant Data Analyst sector skill knowledge of the workplace and subjects
  • Experience in Databasing, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, R, Python
  • Experience in data modelling and design techniques
  • Experience in data visualisation and reporting
  • Exposure to Cloud computing (data)
  • Experience working in high demand environment delivering to targets & tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, presenting & listening skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, CRM and video conferencing platforms
  • Generic workplace skills, knowledge and understanding including; written skills, teamwork, interpersonal, communication and employability
  • Experience in coaching others
