Job Summary:
Cox Communications, Inc. is seeking a Pricing Analyst II who is incredibly curious about marketing and pricing analytics, developing capabilities, and continuous improvement. This essential role on the Cox Business Pricing and Analytics team drives execution and fulfillment of the VISA prepaid card program. The candidate also provides reporting and analytics in support of pricing architecture and offers strategy decisions. The candidate’s work requires close collaboration with Field Marketing, Operations, Product, Sales, and other teams to deliver results.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain and execute gift card query to identify all qualifying gift card customers, and drive improvements to the customer experience
Serve as primary liaison with internal boundary partner teams (field marketing, business operations, etc.) and external gift card vendor
Maintain weekly and monthly reports on key gift card metrics (qualifications, redemptions, escalations, etc.) and provide regular readouts to the SMB Acquisition Pricing team
Translate business problems into analytical problems, extract and manipulate data, conduct statistical analyses to infer business meaning of results and develop recommendations
Design, develop, manage and distribute reporting to measure new customer activity, product pricing and promotional effectiveness
Monitor, analyze and report on key tracking metrics including new customer sales volume, average revenue per customer, offer usage, discounting, etc. Leverage analyses and findings to drive offer recommendations
Support the development and execution of pricing strategies to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth
Develop effective presentations, articulating results from analyses and opportunities for growth and development to internal customers with ease
Lead ad-hoc quantitative analysis and research deep dives
Partner with Pricing Operations and other boundary partners as needed to ensure the timely, accurate and efficient implementation of pricing projects
Develop innovative methods and tools for reviewing, analyzing, forecasting and presenting pricing achievement of goals
Investigate and provide initial response to all reward card escalations within one business day of receipt
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Cox Business products
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years of work experience in data analytics, pricing, marketing analytics, finance, technology, or product management in a competitive industry with similar responsibilities
Strong ability to create, organize, analyze, and interpret complex data sets, draw conclusions, and clearly and concisely communicate findings and recommendations to others
Passion for gathering, manipulating, and interpreting data and uncovering insights that drive business decisions
Proficiency with quantitative tools including Excel and presentation tools such as PowerPoint and willingness to learn new software tools that may become available to the team
Proficiency level in at least one of the following: SQL or Tableau or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset
Self-starter with the ability to manage time and multiple assignments, shift priorities and work independently to meet project deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
Ability to grasp and explain complicated subject matter to others across the organization that are less connected to the situation and/or are less technically oriented
Must possess an internal client service orientation and work effectively in a matrix management environment
Outstanding attention to detail
Willingness to travel up to 5%
Preferred
Advanced degree with an emphasis on quantitative analysis (e.g., economics, finance, business analysis, engineering or equivalent)
Experience with Alteryx
Experience with promotions execution and fulfillment
Experience with pricing analytics
Experience with Salesforce reporting & analytics
Experience in product pricing architecture and bundle pricing development
Proficiency with data mining and visualization tools including SQL, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Python, or equivalent is preferred but not required
Experience presenting and pitching recommendations to senior leaders
Experience in the telecommunications industry or other subscription-based business
