ASOS burst on to the scene in 2000 and has not looked back. We are the UK’s number one fashion and beauty destination, and as a recent survey showed, we are the second most visited fashion website on the planet. We ship to over 190 countries and have specific sites targeting the USA, French and German, Italian and Australian markets. With much excitement, we opened our office in Sydney in January 2012 and New York in September 2012, France and Germany following soon after. This is all part of our strategy, which we call ASOS Future.

A bit about the Team:

The Finance Platform Team is evolving to support substantial business growth with exciting plans for the future. The team is an increasingly important element of Tech as key business partners for Finance ensuring disciplined evolution, data integrity, process efficiency and control across our business & financial applications, while striving to provide our wide customer base with an excellent service.

We are continuously supporting business change, exploring innovative solutions to finance requirements and restlessly identifying improvements to existing controls, systems and processes to ensure maximum potential and benefit.

The Role:

The role requires an experienced Dynamics 365 F&O Functional expert with vision, a passion to succeed the proven ability to deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.  
 

As a D365FO expert you will be responsible for enhancing the D365FO system as well as the data integrity and completeness between other systems, the development and maintenance of core financial systems and continuously identify opportunities to apply best practice, automation and control. 

You will assist the team and the wider business to provide excellent user experience with the day-to-day operations of all financial & business applications and reporting.  You will also help to identify and support new projects across the business, collaborating with the other platforms team to ensure timely and effective results.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to support, enhance and configure the below modules:
  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL, Chart of Accounts, Project Management, Sales/Purchase Orders, System Administration, AXtension Invoice Processing
• Work closely with the project to design, spec and deliver all project related changes to D365
• To constantly assess and incorporate new technologies and software into their skillset
• Develop and maintain well-documented solutions to Finance Business Requirements.
• Act in an advisory capacity to the Finance community, 3rd party solution providers, Finance Systems team and other ASOS IT departments to:
  • Propose tactical solutions and mitigate risks due to known issues
  • Articulate Finance Systems issues and participate in the remediation where appropriate.
  • Provide solution designs, document data mapping, and data validation between systems.
  • Drive resolution of exceptional errors.
• Review and approve reconciliations, investigate variances and provide commentary to the Finance team.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve and control processes across the business to meet the demands of an internationally growing business
• Assist with the interim and year end audits.
• Provide functional expertise and mentorship with a focus on D365 & Financial processes

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years Dynamics 365FO/AX experience (preferable D365 FO Certified)
• Finance background/qualifications preferred but not essential
• Involvement in full end-to-end implementations and all phases of project life cycle
• Support & Functional Development of Finance /ERP systems (essential)
• Advanced systems skills, including Excel, SQL, VBA and ideally exposure to one or more of the following systems:  Merret, ReconArt, P2P, Micro strategy, Oracle, Concur
• Demonstrates an understanding of business processes and business practices and financial systems
• Displays sense of urgency, focused on achievement of deliverables to the highest quality in a pressured environment
• Ability to grasp complex systems and implement practical solutions
• Organisational skills – ability to organise & work to tight deadlines
• Excellent written and oral communication skill
