This role is part of the Cyber Risk Management team within the Cigna Information Protection (CIP) department.  The goal of the Cyber Risk Management team is to enable leaders at all levels of the organization to make reliable and defensible business decisions about cyber risk.

The Cyber Risk Advisor role offers you a unique opportunity to transform Risk Management and work on emerging Cyber Risk Quantification capabilities. The Cyber Risk Advisor will work closely with control owners and application owners to conduct risk analyses of various scenarios to determine likelihood and magnitude of potential losses. Individuals in this role will also collaborate with team members to design, test, and implement enhancements to the quantitative model to improve precision.

Successful team members will demonstrate their ability to:

• Identify, document and assess cyber security risk and controls
• Be a “go-getter” who looks for opportunities to improve Cigna and pursues them
• Think critically about Cigna’s business processes, the systems that support them, the risks which may impact execution of the process, and the output of the assessment to determine if the results are reasonable
• Rationalize and defend assumptions or decisions made during the analysis process
• Develop strong relationships with IT process/control owners
• Effectively communicate project status to team members and senior management
• Influence business analysis and communicate analytical results, findings, and solutions to governance committees and business process owners
• Help stakeholders make informed risk management decisions
• Analyze industry publications to identify changes in the threat landscape
• Collaborate with other teams in CIP and across Cigna to identify appropriate inputs to use for calculation
• Provide and respond to feedback on performed analyses and create learning opportunities for other team members

We are excited to hear from you if you have…

• At least 3 years in IT Risk Management
• Bachelor’s Degree in a computer or mathematics-related field or equivalent (experience with a quantitative model is a plus)
• Certification in information security risk (CISA, CRISC or FAIR) is preferred but not required
• Polished written and oral communication skills
• Experience working with NIST 800-53 security control framework is preferred but not required
• Experience in the healthcare industry (either Payer or Provider) is preferred but not required
• Experience in data analysis and visualization, modeling, and forecasting is a plus

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
