Our Laurinburg/Maxton, NC facility is looking for a Customer Service Representative that will support Meritor’s commitment to the customer by performing their job duties to support customer requirements. They will be responsible for quality. They will have the authority to stop production, if necessary to correct quality problems. They also must perform and maintain payout transactions, metrics updates and shipping order board. 

The Customer Service Representative will demonstrate product knowledge by:
Knowing where assemblies are used and knowing the consequences of producing a poor quality product as it relates to customer satisfaction and the impairment of vehicle safety.


Job Responsibilities:

•    Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting EDI transactions and informing supervisor of schedule changes/delivery promises
•    Serves as point of contact to outside customers and must ensure a timely response to customer issues as encountered
•    Responsible for producing assemblies that meet all customer quality requirements
•    Responsible for adhering to and supporting all quality, safety, production goals and requirements
•    Support continual improvement within the organization
•    Required to become competent in customer satisfaction
•    Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

•    High School Diploma/GED required. Associates degree in a Business related field preferred.

•    Minimum 1 to 2 years in a related Customer Service position in manufacturing required. 

    o    3-5 years’ experience be in the Manufacturing Industry preferred. 

•    Must be able to perform computer functions as required.

    o    ERP system order entry is preferred.

•    Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.

•    Product line experience preferred
