Customer & Sales Support Representative, Oilseeds - Minneapolis, MN
ADM-Oilseeds Processing

This is a full time, exempt position.


This successful colleague will be responsible for providing world class customer support for shipments to customers and from suppliers within ADM Softseed Processing.  As the Customer Support Team is often the first line of communication with customers, this individual must ensure they represent ADM well by being customer-focused and committed to driving solutions to ensure reliability.  It is important that this candidate also maintain positive relationships with various ADM Departments such as the Merchandising Team, Commercial Managers, GBS, Operations Team, Transportation Team, etc.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Commercial team(s) to support our regional processing business:
    • Problem solve to assist in all aspects of our business
    • Generate process improvement ideas to ultimately improve our customer experience and bottom line.  Work with internal teams to build tools to improve our customer focus. 
    • Assist and provide training on finished goods claims.   
    • Assist extended team of grain merchandisers in all procurement and sales processes and procedures.
    • Design and present training for sales and support personnel.
    • Contract entry and amendments as needed.
  • Provide support to both origination and finished goods customers:
    • Provide best-in-class service and assistance to our customers with questions or issues.
    • Assist in reconciliation of location accounts to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Manage work flow to effectively prioritize all responsibilities.
  • Additional duties:
    • Ability to identify issues/problems and direct/manage problem solutions.
    • Partner with regional managers/leadership on various marketing projects and needs.
    • Assist in reconciliation of inventory/position data monthly and assist in finding critical errors.
    • Ownership of new vendor/customer set-up.
    • Support daily location reports
    • Support location logistics plans and execution
    • Utilize/update a variety of systems including AGRIS, IBM mainframe, web-based forms, etc.

 

  • Expectation to work outside of normal work hours to support customer needs.
  • Ability to be self-directed and manage time and responsibilities.
  • Minimum of five+ years\' outside customer service experience, Ag sector preferred.
  • Relevant experience in the grain business, not a requirement, but beneficial.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Experience with working in successful teams.
  • Ability to exhibit strong analytic skills and excellent written and oral skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Experience in a dynamic work environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to work with MS Office, AGRIS and various other computer programs is required.

Relocation is not available with this position.
