Job summary
Amazon is looking for an analytical and technically skilled market researcher/insights manager with strong technical skills to join our team. This position will be responsible for understanding customer behaviour using internal data as well as assessing needs, recommending, developing and supporting best in class market research methodologies. The Customer Insight Manager, commissions and crafts insight projects, reviews the collected data, draws insights, authors reports and makes business-oriented recommendations. They will work with multiple cross function stakeholders to ensure insight drives action that delivers great outcomes for our customers.

This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to forge strong cross team collaborations. They will enjoy operating both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.


Key job responsibilities
· Developing and running voice of the customer mechanisms for sharing learnings and driving positive customer outcomes
· Interpreting data, writing reports, and making actionable recommendations
· Developing analytical models to help the business get closer to customers and their behaviour
· Developing ongoing tracking studies, deep dives and responding to analyses for ad hoc requests
· Selecting the most appropriate research methodology and techniques
· Designing qualitative and quantitative research plans

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· A minimum of 3 to 5 years within roles based around data and research or analytics
· Strong Excel and SQL skills
· Strong analytic skills with experience in statistical modelling and analysis
· Experience generating customer insights and converting them into business impact
· Hands on insight and programme management experience while functioning at senior levels
· Experience of managing complex program of work working across cross functional teams and senior stakeholders
· Exceptional written and oral communication abilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with a wide array of product, brand, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologies
· Proficient with Excel and Word
· Bachelors or advanced degree (ideally in business, mathematics, or the sciences)
