WL5 Role Summary:
The purpose of this role is to work with existing customers to identify opportunities for additional product sales, which will be executed by 3rd party partners in the short term and colleagues in the longer term. This role will never lose sight of delivering social value as well as financial to its customers and members.
Key responsibilities
Define and deliver a sales plan for your existing customer group that that both delivers revenue and profit targets as well as building a pipeline that is capable of delivering future years targets
Engage effectively with ‘C-suite’ executives in target companies to enable the sales process and ongoing post-sales support
Embody Co-op’s values and behaviours in all interactions with customers
Work with colleagues across Power, especially sales support and supplier management to create credible solutions for customers.
Ensure that all bids comply with Co-op Power’s bid governance
Act as the voice of the customer in the strategy development process for your customer segment
Ensure effective onboarding of new product sales with colleagues in supplier management etc.

Propose customer solutions, in line with bid management governance for approval by MD Co-op Power,

Define target customers in line with the sales strategy Key Relationships and Influence
Sales support for bid writing services
Supplier Management for 3rd party services

Months and years – months for live bids and up to 3 years for building the pipeline Knowledge, Skills,
Experience
Excellent knowledge of the intermediated utilities market, services and customers
5 years’ experience of selling in this market
Senior stakeholder management (external) – Being a credible leader at senior management level that can demonstrate a steady hand and Co-op values
Senior stakeholder management (internal) – Being a credible leader at senior management level that can demonstrate a steady hand and Co-op values to get support for the business
Customer focus – The ability to understand and interpret changing customer needs
The ability to follow process effectively and suggest improvements where required
