With a strong focus on curriculum design, process improvement, and agility, the Curriculum Development Program Manager manages the design process for large-scale initiatives for an aligned line of business, and the lifecycle maintenance and content update functions for learning materials. This key role has oversight for both new and existing projects associated with significant business initiatives.
We’re looking for someone who is adept at:
Providing thought leadership and sound instructional design methodologies to the creation or enhancement of large programs.
Collaboration and partnership with other L&WC team members and business stakeholders to create and execute project plans and timelines
Leading a team of contract Instructional Designers to review, reimagine, update, and produce innovative, instructionally sound, performance-based learning products
Managing and improving processes that enable delivery of the Cox Brand Behaviors and achievement of business goals.
Partnering with business stakeholders to provide consultation and communication regarding learning content needs
Engaging with L&WC partners and other resources in the development, revision and enhancement of solutions, that are often part of broader business product, service or strategic initiatives with compressed deadlines, product or technical trials and/or new tools/applications
Managing project-based budgets, regular stakeholder interaction and reporting
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Manages the analysis, design, and development of learning solutions that are in need of enhancement, updating, and improvement
Employs a variety of delivery modalities (eLearning, instructor led training, virtual delivery, performance support) for various types of content improvements
Conducts needs analysis and applies industry standard practices for redesigning solutions that are effective in achieving learner knowledge acquisition and skill development and measurable business impact
Oversees pilots and evaluates instructional materials and processes to assess their effectiveness and contribute to the revision process
Scopes curriculum and program needs through evaluation, applying sound project management, reporting and communication skills
Manages capacity of contractor team, setting clear timelines for work completion and integration into onboarding programs
Tracks performance/actuals to plan/budget and reports regularly
Functioning as a staff resource and consultant on matters related to needs analysis, instructional design, assessment, and evaluation
Regularly seeks out and applies feedback to processes to ensure voice of customer engagement and ongoing improvement
Qualifications:
Required
5-7 years of experience in Curriculum Design and Development.
Experience leading a team of curriculum developers.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing learning solutions
Formal knowledge of instructional systems design methodology and industry recognized methods of evaluation of learning.
Demonstrated program and project management skills.
Strong performance consulting skills and rapport building skills.
Proven ability to deliver curriculum development solutions in a fast-paced business environment.
Proven results with strategic thinking, creativity, and deployment of training initiatives linked to business outcomes.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
Strong knowledge of instructional design authoring tools
Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively, and proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, dynamic and virtual environment
Proven ability to work in a cross-organizational team environment collaborating with the business leads on key deliverables pertaining to business readiness and specifically in support of training
Experience with development tools in the Articulate and Adobe suite of products
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or equivalent experience
Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field
Experience in sales, call center or mobile learning environments preferred
Experience in the telecommunications industry
Experience with Learning Management systems
