and see why we set the bar for customer satisfaction in the food service industry! Our Marketing teams support our sales force and our food service customers with digital tools and content, events to educate and inform, creative ideation and development, distinctive products and brands, and consultative expertise on both business operations and culinary trends.

If you want to share your professional culinary experience with others, this may be the role for you.  Our Culinary Specialist  is responsible for strategically utilizing knowledge and expertise, in combination with industry trends and Gordon Food Service products, services and resources, to provide profit maximizing solutions and overall business planning to our customers.  Your days will be variable, but you can expect to:

  • Collaborate closely with our Sales and Marketing teams
  • Work directly with key customers on menu analysis and development
  • Develop and test recipes for customers 
  • Research local food trends and provide culinary insight both internally and with external customers
  • Participate in food shows and other strategic events
  • Represent Gordon Food Service and our brand initiatives on the local culinary scene

Does this look like you?

  • Bachelor degree in Culinary, Sales, Marketing, Business, or other related field preferred.
  • Six years culinary experience or restaurant experience (similar to an executive chef and/or restaurant manager ), with knowledge of front/back of house and culinary.  
  • Must have past experience leading and directing others.
  • Must maintain a valid, unrestricted state driver’s license and safe driving record per GFS policy.
  • Travel requirements of 30%.
  • Work is performed during off shifts, nights or weekends up to 10%.
