Job Description

What will you be doing?  
As a Credit Risk Modelling Analyst, you will be responsible for contributing towards the delivery of the modelling roadmap, identifying opportunities by pulling insight from our data and supporting the drive for a continuous improvement in our decision making. 

 

You will cover all decision science and modelling for Credit Risk, Billing and Collections, to provide insights and recommendations for decision enhancements or operational efficiencies, as well as supporting with the model implementation by our config team.

 

The team are responsible for managing the strategies supporting over 400k applications each month and 200k customers entering collections, protecting annual value of more than £300m. Additionally, the team will own optimisation of models driving reduction against fraud attacks and never paids, in excess of more than £100m loss exposure.

 

The next couple of years will be especially exciting with the team being responsible for the complete overhaul of our acquisition, behavioural and collections model suites. Huge investment has been made into the team and tooling, encouraging a culture of innovation and empowerment. Who are we looking for?   

  • Highly numerate, analytical thinker. Able to identify opportunities and drive insight and appropriate action from data.
  • Proven communication skills. Ability to translate complex data into insights and to promote discussion with managers and key stakeholders.
  • Experience with either SQL/SAS/Python similar and Excel and exposure to scorecard development and model building. 
  • Strongly analytical background, ideally within the financial services or telecoms industries.
