Your role

We’re looking for a Credit Risk Officer to:
• perform due diligence on all relevant risk categories such as counterparty risks, collateral and exposure risks, concentration and liquidity risks, legal & compliance risks to formulate a holistic risk assessment as basis for credit decision
• approve credit transaction in own authority and contribute to written credit memos for senior management decision while upholding our risk principles and standards
• proactively review risks in the assigned portfolio, take adequate risk mitigating measures as warranted
• review lending and trading documentation so that transaction risks are identified and appropriately covered
• possibly lead / actively contribute as subject matter expert in various change projects and initiatives to enhance and strengthen firm's service offerings to clients and risk control standards.
Your team
You’ll be working in the Credit Risk Control team in Zurich and play a vital role in independently reviewing and monitoring credit and transaction risks within the Global Wealth Management. The team covers Lombard Products and Aircraft Finance for wealthy UBS clients.

Your expertise
• strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
• fluent in English, other language skills are a plus
• an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills
• well organized and able to thrive when no two days are the same
• a basic understanding of financial markets and/or of financial statements and passion to develop your knowledge further
• experience as a credit officer covering corporate clients and/or private wealth structures in an international financial institution would be of advantage
• IT knowledge, in particular skilled at handling/manipulating large data sets using standard MS products e.g. MS Excel, additional programming skills would be advantageous
