Rober Half is working with an innovatative international industrial company in Northwest Houston for a Cost Financial Analyst on a short-term contract-to-hire basis! The Cost Financial Analyst is responsible for compiling and analyzing cost information. Develops integrated cost, reports, and presentations. Creating and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports and ensuring financial information has been recorded accurately.

This role is in-office Monday to Friday and is paying up to $36/hr.

Job Responsibility:

·      Analying batch postings & sub-ledger reports & balances.

·      Analying Sales Report & Profit margins.

·      Analying Cost Report, “Labor Burden Cost Analysis.”

·      Setting standard costs of manufactured goods

·      Budget VS Actuals

·      Ad Hoc Analysis Reports

·      Monitoring item costing-formulas

·      Analyzing product structures

·      Analyzing new industrial material purchases & costs

·      Responsible for routing & cost rollup

·      Analyzing actual production numbers to routings in system

·      Monitoring profit margins on sales and advises Sales function on low profit or loss margins

·      Updating ME Sales/Stats files

·      Reconciliations

·      Analyzing scrap costs in order to validate yield factors

·      Preparing YTD/CM Gross Profit Sales Margin Analysis

·      Preparing ASTM Freight Accrual/JE

·      Preparing internal and external audit schedules

Requirements

·      Bachelors Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university

·      2+ years of recent experience as a Cost Accountant/Analyst and a solid understanding of cost fundamentals and WIP.

·      Must have experience with full cycle cost analysis and accounting, deviations and variance analysis, costing formulas, P& L margins, account reconciliation, freight accruals, journal entries and audit.

·      Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables)

·      SAP experience is a plus

·      Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
