Responsible for leading the Escheat Operations Team in dormant account review, escheat and safe deposit box processing.
Oversee and implement processes that align with Truist’s Unclaimed Property and Escheat Reporting Program.
Partner with escheat operations management to create and support an environment that fosters growth, motivation and strong relationship building.
Build and maintain an escheat team with skills and knowledge (e.g. best practices, process manuals, standard process).
Build strong partnerships with various Business Units, Branch Operations, Risk, Legal and Compliance to develop integrated processes that deliver best in class service for the organization and high client satisfaction.
Serve as first level escalation point with issues regarding delivery of escheatment activities and client dissatisfaction.

1. Expert knowledge of all federal and state laws and regulations on all three skillset as well as in internal bank policies.
2. Keeps abreast of regulations mandated by all 50 U.S. State and U.S. Territories. Implements any new state law changes to ensure compliance and resolves escalated complex issues including state reporting issues.
3. Demonstrates an understanding of business decision\'s impact on related functions and/or other units and leads initiatives, identifies trends and recurring issues, and implements recommendations.
4. Work with Audit, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and local states to ensure no liabilities with regulatory, risk and all other processes within the department. Â Â
5. Ensure proper review of all state reports are performed at established time frames with accurate data captured to minimize the risk and exposure to the bank and manages tasks which are highly company and client sensitive due to dollar amount and/or regulatory issues.
6. Manage multiple functions with moderate to high level of risk and moderate to high complexity.
7. Accurately assesses strengths and weaknesses of others and is effective at coaching teammates for further development; providing constructive feedback and documenting development and performance improvement plans.
8. Represents department on projects and contributes to goal planning for the division.
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent work-related experience
2. 5-7 years managerial/supervisory experience
3. Experience with project coordination and budget preparation
4. Demonstrates strong interpersonal, leadership, communications, and analytical skills
5. Demonstrates ability to prioritize, delegate, review, and expedite issues daily
6. Minimum of 5 years experience in financial services providing production support for applications/infrastructure
7. Excellent leadership skills
