Amazon is seeking an exceptionally talented, innovative, extremely hands-on, customer-obsessed HR leader with a passion for establishing and developing first-class HR strategies to join our highly professional HR department.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will support the Corporate Operations and FC Support Function leaders across Europe, comprising several hundred people; responsible for all aspects of the HR service to their clients. Ensuring outstanding customer focus by delivering value-add, best in class HR support to internal customer groups across Europe:
· Own and manage the relationships with client group business leaders, including Directors.
· Develop and own the delivery of the strategic HR plan for each business supported, ensuring consistency with EU and global HR goals.
· Act as a consultant to your client groups and provide input on the HR implications of strategic and operational decisions and plans, acting as an integral member of each group’s management team.
· Maintain a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, engagement and retention activities, including an understanding of compensation and benefits and development activity.
· Support and develop line managers in driving a performance culture through coaching, facilitating talent assessments and succession planning meetings.
· Provide expert input to your client groups as well as the HR team in terms of employment legislation, policies and practices.
· Support the design and delivery of appropriate training and development programs.
· Deliver on business-critical HR related projects
· Ensure alignment of HR related programs by partnering with peers and colleagues in Seattle and other EU locations and also across both the Operations and Corporate business units.

· The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of Commercial HR within the company
· A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employee and corporate group to ensure a high level of employee engagement
· Proven knowledge and practical application of EU HR practices and employment laws
· Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
· Coaching and mentoring experience at management level
· Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs

Experience of operating as a strategic Business Partner with demonstrated success in meeting exceptionally high standards in a high volume, fast-paced, hands-on environment
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field is required
· Fluency in written and spoken English essential
· Expertise in European employment law
· Demonstrate ability to motivate others and influence work behaviours
· Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, make best use of limited resources
· High dependability – be there to support the business
