Job purpose
This role will be responsible for leading workforce optimization and business readiness for Workforce Intelligence within Project Cornerstone for Medicare Advantage Business Operations. Focus will be on collaboration with the Cornerstone leadership team, operational units across the MA Segment, and WFI Front/Back Office Pillars to ensure appropriate capture of expectations and data to support Project Cornerstone operational changes. The team member will coordinate with Cornerstone teams to understand anticipated operational changes and their anticipated impact to Medicare Advantage operational units. Then partner with WFI long term planners to reflect any changes, understand bubble staffing needs, ensure any operational risks are addressed ahead of time, reflect expected adjustments, understand impact to future state staffing, and ensure any data availability to empower accountable change over time. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the operational teams within Cigna Medicare are staffed to manage their forecasted workloads while undergoing changes to their methods via Project Cornerstone and setup to manage their staff to do so in the future.
Duties and responsibilities
• Partner with WFI and Cornerstone teams to establish and evolve data availability/needs for Project Cornerstone
• Collaborate with WFI to understand the monthly production cycle and ensure that all data needs are met for financial filings, to push budgetary accountability
• Ability to build partnerships and maintain an excellent working relationship with all Workforce Intelligence (WFI) team members including the Global Service Provider (GSP) staff
• Requires solution-based strategic thinking to understand Cornerstone project needs and translate that into actionable business insights
• Ability to understand the WFI capacity plans that support Medicare Advantage operations, in order to push for appropriate system data transparency/availability
• Unite with business leaders on financial planning that aligns to the existing capacity plans and promote future state efficiency with improved data alignment
• Partner with business leaders on financial planning that aligns to the existing capacity plans and ensure accountability to bubble staffing commitments
• Support periodic capacity planning re-engineering projects – develop and improve existing models to allow for more effective business decisions regarding overall capacity; leverage business knowledge and relationships with functional leads to provide recommendations on how best to improve the modeling capabilities
• Lead bubble staffing demand reviews with internal partners– communicate results, review variance from expectation to identify potential drivers, and address possible impacts to future modeling
• Facilitate data reviews with internal partners– communicate results, review requirement and identify potential concerns for modeling or management
• Participate in capacity support and financial meetings to push accountability to anticipated operational improvements, and bring any thoughts, concerns, or recommendations to the table; challenge movement when it does not make sense
• Participate in recurring team meetings and one-on-ones
• Drive change and influence individuals at all levels of the organization to take or avoid risks as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred concentration: Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Business)
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience related to predictive modeling and analytics
• Medicare/Medicaid experience is preferred especially in a resource/workforce planning environment
• Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
• Strong customer focus and track record of satisfied matrix partners
• History of working with/understanding projects in an Agile environment a plus
• Experience partnering with virtual and globally distributed teams
• Understanding of the Cigna Government Business Segment and structure within is ideal
• Alteryx Core Certification or similar analytic engine expertise required
• Exceptional leadership skills in order to coordinate collaboration across multiple teams
• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence the decision making process, collaborate across the organization and operate effectively within a matrix environment by resolving conflict and influencing others
• Ability to influence, drive, and improve the areas above
• The person in this position will need to be self-motivated and possess strong leadership qualities.
• Capability to successfully navigate and contribute in a highly-matrixed environment
• Strong customer focus and management of client expectations
Working conditions
The individual in this role will be expected to work a standard 40 hour work week. This position will likely be a salaried employee. The position will have the opportunity to be performed from home. When working from home the individual must maintain a secure working environment since the information may contain HIPPA compliance information. The individual must maintain a high speed internet connection for establishing a compliant VPN connection to the Cigna network.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $107,800 - $179,600, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
