Job Summary:

The Walt Disney Company’s Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly evolving consumer habits. Combining the Company’s direct-to-consumer streaming services – ESPN+, the Disney+ streaming service and its ownership stake in Hulu – alongside Disney’s international media businesses, DMED aligns cutting-edge technology with world-class content and beloved brands to expand the Company’s global footprint and deliver highly personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world.

Disney Advertising Sales is seeking an experienced professional to support the business strategy and activation for advertiser solutions tied to Specials programming. This role is currently based in New York (with openness to consider Los Angeles for the right candidate) and reports into the Senior Manager.

Coordinator will be responsible for helping a team on project management for advertiser driven cross-platform brand solutions within the Specials vertical which includes content across ABC, Hulu, FX, National Geographic, Freeform and Disney+.

Responsibilities:

  • Help support team members on the development and execution of cross-platform (linear, streaming, social etc.) deals.
  • Participate in idea generation and help with creation of pitch materials (RFPs and proactive)
  • Participate in idea generation with a focus on linear & addressable solutions
  • Help with all client-facing pitch materials that detail (customized and market-wide) sponsorship opportunities
  • Coordinate approvals among key stakeholders (Management, Legal, BS&P, PR, Business Affairs, studios, producers, etc.)
  • Help coordinate aspects of the activation process: timelines, approvals, production shoots, post-production, etc. which includes by isn’t limited to:
  • Draft project related paperwork such as contracts
  • Coordinate approvals
  • Support in on-set shoots
  • Budget management/billing
  • Assist in addressable executions including social media campaigns
  • Responsible for digitizing and uploading all branded content
  • Draft deal recaps and case studies
  • Help with any promotion/sweepstakes management
  • Possibility to work with and oversee portions of intern workloads
  • Provide organizational support to the team including: manage status reports, meeting recaps, set up cross-team processes, etc.
  • Responsible for clerical and administrative tasks including coordinating and setting meetings, developing meeting agendas, securing conference rooms, etc.
  • Competitive tracking and reporting within advertising landscape
  • Bring an innovative and entrepenurial lens to the business to ensure solutions are meeting marketplace demands and revenue potential is maximized, especially in addressable space

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of marketing, sponsorship, promotion, branded entertainment and/or media at a network, cable, promotional/media agency or entertainment studio
  • Strong interpersonal skills (especially in high stress environments) and professional presence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, attention to detail, time management skills, ability to multi-task
  • Adept problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize
  • Demonstrate creative thinking
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Team player with the desire to do whatever it takes
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, mornings, weekends and/or occasional travel
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Keynote, Google Docs/Sheets, iMovie, and Final Cut Pro

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
