About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Cook position, specialised in Indian Cuisine, to join our Culinary Department in Jumeirah Port de Sóller Hotel & Spa.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
- To provide friendly, professional and efficient service ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in a manner consistent with house standards. And to maintain an efficient workflow by adhering to the Sequence of Service and all time frames and standards detailed in relevant SOPs in the kitchen standards manual.
- To organize and assemble the assigned section of the kitchen and prepare the dishes as efficiently as possible to increase speed and maximize production.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and in accordance with standard recipes.
- Prepare the list of products / food items needed for the next day and present it to the head of the department.
- Monitor the costs of food and operation, reducing waste.
- Work in any section of the kitchen whenever necessary or required by the chefs.
- Assist in carrying out a daily inventory of refrigerators considering event orders and prepare the order for the following day.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

- Advance Food and Hygiene Training
- Culinary Skill Courses Experience
Experience
- Experience in Kitchen in similar level
- Previous 5*hotel experience
- Specialised in Indian Cuisine
Skills
- Excellent level of English
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Demonstrates excellent supervisory and leadership skill
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Works well under pressure
- Demonstrates flexibility in working according to the needs of the business
- Excellent customer care skills
