Job Description

This position will assist in driving and supporting the productivity, safety, quality, and cost improvement goals established for its assigned areas. Must serve as a catalyst to stimulate manufacturing-related innovations designed to continually improve our competitive position as a low cost/high end supplier.

Job Responsibilities:

•Assist the champion of new products and equipment entering the facility in terms of identifying controls, tooling, and automation required to produce the product support production launch.

•Manage the procurement of major and minor pieces of capital equipment for assigned projects.

•Provide ownership for specifying controls on all new and upgraded equipment, automation and processes. Develop controls standards for new processes and/or equipment

•Provide technical support to maintenance techs, engineers, team leaders and supervisors.

•Assist Project Managers and industrialization with project implementation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s degree required.

•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Allen Bradley PLC (Legacy and New technology) required

•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience programming with Allen Bradley PLCs, and HMIs is highly preferred 

•    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in troubleshooting CNC’s and robotics preferably Fanuc(Robot)

•    Extensive experience with computer software – Excel, Access, AutoCAD, other CAD experience is a plus

•    Blueprint reading ability

•    Experience retrofitting older equipment with newer controls / technology

•    Must possess strong ability of troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems (motors, drives, PLC’s and other control and mechanical systems)

•    Knowledge of complex automation with PLC background, special machines, hydraulics, pneumatics and robotics programming interface preferred

•    PC integrations with Java based script
