ABOUT THE TEAM:

Market Development sits within Virgin Media O2 Business and is the team responsible for driving growth to the organisation by establishing new and digital-first revenue streams from high-growth markets like 5G, IoT, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Contract Manager role exists to deliver on the Contract Management team’s purpose. It is customer-facing, requiring regular interaction with VMO2’s business customers to support the Business’ trading objectives. You will negotiate contracts that meet our internal risk profile and governance. You will make sure that the business understands what it is contributing to. You will always demonstrate openness, integrity and transparency when working with our customers and when closing deals quickly, but without compromising the quality.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You'll support us to deliver trading objectives by drafting, negotiating, completing business contracts with our direct B2B customers. You will be responsible for owning the end to end process of contract creation, including observing associated governance that applies to creation and execution.

You will draft and negotiate contracts of varying complexity and value, from £5,000 up to £5m in contract value, engaging directly with customers and coordinating the vital commercial, legal and financial resources for successful contracts.

You will work alongside diverse groups of internal partners, ensuring that internal governance is upheld and providing advice and recommendations to assist in decision-making processes.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent commercial and Contract Management experience with legal qualification/experience (including an understanding of commercial law) and excellent contract drafting skills.
  • Resilient and able to operate in an ambiguous and agile environment
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, confirmed by the evidence of leading multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experienced in negotiating and leading ICT, mobile telecoms contracts in excess of £1m.
  • An excellent communicator, and confident in influencing and handling internal and external partners at all levels

 

  • Good understanding of the inter-relationship between the sales, procurement, legal, financial and delivery aspects of commercial propositions.
  • Strong financial competence, and a good - understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Good leadership skills to lead virtual teams to deliver a signed contract that meet VMO2’s governance requirements.
  • Very good Microsoft Word skills.
  • Full driver’s licence desirable
  • IACCM Accreditation desirable
