The incumbent will be responsible for the daily operation of cashflow, policy/expense payments and premium receipts through policy administration and other systems, daily enquiry support as well as ensuring necessary controls are in place and implemented across finance operations procedures. He/she will assist in the preparation of month end tasks including various financial analysis and reports, all kind of reconciliations, and support the system changes and improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year end reporting under US GAAP and IFRS bases.
Prepare financial statements and reports for local statutory reporting purposes (mainly to HK Insurance Authority).
Review other team members` schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and standards.
Assist in the build phase and testing of IFRS 17 implementation projects and other BAU enhancement projects.
Support ad hoc information requests from US Head Office, Global Office, etc.
Research and apply accounting policy to complex issues.
Establish and document internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Job Requirements:
At least 5 years’ relevant working experience, exposure in financial reporting under IFRS within insurance industry are required
Strong understanding and solid work experiences on HK Insurance regulatory reporting and US GAAP accounting standard are required
Excellent understanding of insurance financial statements, controls and processes and the ability to implement and maintain a tight control environment
Possess strong time management and task prioritization skill
System orientated and comfortable with managing the operation of an integrated information system
Strong logical thinking with a comprehensive attitude of proactive, innovativeness and prudence and able to work independently
Good team player with good communication skills in dealing with other functions within HK local business as well as US Head Office and Global Office
