We are currently recruiting for long term career professionals, with an initial assignment supporting CityFibre Telecommunications projects across the UK. Bechtel has been selected as a Delivery Partner on a £4 Billion programme to bring high speed internet connectivity to communities. The core focus is to deploy next generation fibre infrastructure across the public sector, businesses, mobile operators, and homes. These projects are key to improving connectivity for millions of people and boosting economic productivity in the long-term.

Position Summary
As a Contracts administrator you will lead the commercial cost and contractual management on existing contracts in one or multiple towns and cities which will include new build, city enhancement projects and field service frameworks. Working as part of our Supply Chain division you will always promote health and safety values and will support your assigned build delivery teams to manage cost, mitigate risks, maintain relationships and ultimately, protect the client both contractually and commercially.
Typical Responsibilities
· Overall contract administration, including producing valuation certificates, issuing correspondence, claims, budget monitoring and producing contract/workstream performance data (primarily within an NEC Option B remeasurable environment).
· Assess, negotiate and authorise submission of project variations.
· Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks through implementing policies for risk management.
· Compiling the monthly measurement of supplier KPI’s and reporting for the relevant build area/contract 
· Providing robust, timely and accurate cost and value data for each build area and progress in relation to the programme schedule
· Be the lead commercial point of contact in the city build team and provide commercial and contractual advice & expertise to these teams.
· Build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with build partners and with key internal stakeholders
· To be able to problem solve & be creative in finding solutions.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
· Experience in quantity surveying/contract administration within construction (ideally in telecoms or similar).
· Working knowledge of NEC forms of contract preferred or similar engineering and construction form of contract.
· Relevant university degree (or in lieu of degree additional demonstrated experience) and work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the role requirements and job knowledge.
· Full clean UK Driving License.
· Effective communication skills and ability to work and build relationships with various stakeholders.
· Knowledge of law, negotiations, or contract management gained through education or experience.
· Experience with using spreadsheets to collate and interpret financial data.
