Job Description

Job summary
The goal of Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is to build a world class last mile operation. Amazon aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and in the most cost-effective way possible. The Under-the-Roof Labour Planning (UTR LP) Team provides AMZL with cost-optimal and flexible capacity solutions for in-station operations, year-round and enabling the business to scale for seasonal peak demand increases. This role is based out of the London corporate office, but other locations in Europe will also be considered.

In order to support the fast growth of AMZL, we are constantly seeking ways to improve our functional performance; to do more, with less. As part of this commitment, we are creating a dedicated UTR Improvement Team, which will be a new workstream for holistic, yet tactical, programs to improve UTR performance, increased flexibility and improved associate experience via labour planning decisions. As a Continuous Improvement Manager within the team, you will own deliverables that require in-depth analysis and thought-leadership before being incorporated into new ways of working within the weekly planning routines. You will have a direct impact on shaping how labor planning is performed within AMZL and be responsible for seeing initiatives from initial ideation all the way through to implementation (and beyond).

This position requires high judgement, excellent analytical abilities and a creative mind to invent solutions to existing problems. It also offers exposure to various business, operational, financial, and technical teams across Amazon. If you are someone who naturally curious and passionate about getting insights from data, who systematically breaks down highly complex and ambiguous problems with ease and who enjoys working on a fast-paced environment, we would love to speak with you!
