Job Description
Specific Duties:
- Develop, deliver, and support Lean/Six Sigma programs that teach continuous improvement concepts, principles, and tools, such as problem-solving, coaching, Kaizen, VSM, Standard Work, 6S, and TPM.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and present CI projects.
- Oversee and participate in the post-implementation assessments of realized benefits of process improvement activities.
- Encourages others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.
- Conduct time studies, collect data, and drive action to identify where non-value-added activities occur.
- Establish production standards and throughput capacities for planning and scheduling needs.
- Participate in external benchmarking to continually learn and improve on the plants lean/6sigma strategy.
- Support the execution of these strategies across the facility while continuously pursuing personal mastery of lean/6sigma philosophies, principles, and practical application techniques.
Job Requirements
The skillset required for success in this role will include:
- BS in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or other engineering disciplines, with experience in manufacturing operations and quality systems.
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Six Sigma experience
- 3-5 years prior experience in a manufacturing leadership role with a proven track record.
- Strong collaboration skills are a must for this role.
- Project management skills.
- Organizational, Analytical and Technical skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Problem solving skills.
- Must be resilient and capable of dealing with ambiguity.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams formats.
